Delete Your Account

The fastest way is in the app. You can delete your account yourself at any time, directly from Blizu's settings — no need to contact us.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open Blizu and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Once confirmed, your account is permanently deleted along with the data described below.

Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in to the app, you can ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@blizu.de from the email address associated with your account. Please include the email or name on the account so we can locate it. We will verify your identity and complete the deletion.

What is deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

  • Your profile information (name, email, gender, and any profile and filter fields you provided — including sensitive fields such as sexual orientation, religious or political beliefs, and ethnicity, where you chose to add them).
  • Your photos.
  • Your location data and scan history.
  • Your matches and conversations.
  • Your verification data, if you completed ID verification.

What may be kept, and for how long

We may retain a limited amount of data after deletion only where we are legally required to, or to protect the safety of our community — for example, records related to reports of abuse, fraud prevention, or to comply with legal obligations. Any such data is kept only for as long as necessary for that purpose and is then deleted. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
