Community Guidelines

Blizu connects real people who are near each other, right now. That only works if everyone feels safe. By creating an account and using Blizu, you agree to these Community Guidelines in addition to our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

What's not allowed

• Harassment, bullying, or threats toward any person.
• Hate speech or content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.
• Sexually explicit, pornographic, or otherwise obscene content, and any sexual content involving minors (which we report to the authorities).
• Violent, graphic, or gratuitously disturbing content.
• Nudity or sexual solicitation.
• Spam, scams, phishing, or fraudulent behavior.
• Impersonation of another person or organization.
• Sharing someone else's private information without their consent.
• Anything illegal, or content that promotes illegal activity.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Blizu.

Be a good neighbor

• Treat people the way you'd want to be treated when meeting in person.
• Use real, recent photos of yourself. No misleading profiles.
• Respect a "no." If someone isn't interested, move on.
• Meet in public, and look out for your own safety when meeting anyone new.

Reporting and blocking

If you see content or behavior that breaks these guidelines, you can act directly in the app:

• Report a user from their profile or from a chat — choose a reason so we can review it.
• Block a user to immediately stop all contact between you and them.

How we respond

We review reports of objectionable content and abusive behavior and act on them within 24 hours — removing the offending content and ejecting the user who provided it. Blocking and reporting are always available to you in the meantime.
